The Bharatiya Janata Party won both the Nandigram and Rejinagar bypolls in West Bengal. In Nandigram, BJP candidate Hasi Rani Rath defeated Congress rival Milan Pradhan by a margin of 1,22,753 votes, surpassing the previous record set by Suvendu Adhikari in 2016. Rath received 1,64,427 votes, while Pradhan polled 41,674 votes. The CPI(M) candidate, Shanti Gopal Giri, finished third with 5,779 votes. The election recorded a voter turnout of 79.39 percent.

The Nandigram seat became vacant after Suvendu Adhikari resigned to retain his Bhawanipur seat. Rath’s candidacy was shaped by the personal loss of her son, Chandranath Rath, who was shot dead in Madhyamgram on 2024-05-06.
In Rejinagar, BJP candidate Shankaravh Sarkar won the bypoll by over 75,000 votes. Suvendu Adhikari said that the majority of the BJP’s votes in Rejinagar came from minority communities, noting that 70 percent of voters there were from minority groups. He linked the outcome to the Annapurna Yojana, under which eligible women receive Rs 3,000 monthly, and thanked beneficiaries.

Adhikari also remarked, "BJP candidate Hasi Rani Rath has won from Nandigram and she has also crossed my record margin. Minorities in Nandigram have supported us and have positively accepted my request to join our movement." Regarding Rejinagar he added, "Our candidate is winning in Rejinagar as well and the majority of votes that we have received there are from the minority community. I pay my respects to the people of Rejinagar and especially want to thank those who benefited from the Annapurna Yojana (under which eligible women get Rs 3,000 every month)."
