To manage the event, authorities deployed roughly 26,000 central security police personnel along with an additional 6,000 Delhi police officers. According to the police, the rally had been organized as a protest against the earlier arrest of CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, who had been detained for hoisting the national flag at Jantar Mantar on October 16.

Rallies Framed as Protests Against Earlier Detentions

The series of ‘Lhra Do Tiranga’ events were claimed to have been organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Participants said the rallies aimed to voice opposition to the arrest of Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, whose detention for flag‑hoisting at Jantar Mantar on October 16 had sparked the protests.
