A severe rainstorm struck Istanbul’s Sarıyer Ayazağa district. The downpour was intense, turning roadways into channels of water as the neighborhood faced sudden flooding.
As the water gained force, parked cars were lifted from their spots and carried along the flow. The current was strong enough to push several automobiles into one another, creating piles of vehicles stacked on top of each other. The scene was chaotic in the neighborhood.
At the same time, a shopping mall (AVM) in the Sarıyer Ayazağa district experienced flooding in its parking area. Water accumulated and flowed down the escalators. The mall was evacuated, and the incident was captured on mobile phone cameras.
