For many, the name Lauren Bennett is linked to the early 2010s pop world. She was the voice behind LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" in 2011 and a member of girl group G.R.L. On October 30, 2026, Bennett was found dead in the woods near her home in Kent. She had told her husband she was going for a walk. After a few hours, he grew worried when she had not returned, as he told the inquest: "After a few hours I started to get worried after Lauren had not returned." The coroner, Jyoti Gill, ruled the death a suicide by hanging. In the months prior, Bennett had been suffering from a mental health disorder and was in the care of special mental health services. She was prescribed various drugs to manage her condition. Earlier in January, she received psychiatric care between the 16th and 23rd after going multiple days without sleeping. The coroner's determination of suicide by hanging was confirmed at the inquest.
